Participation Team - Q2 Heartbeat #1 Projects

One of the Participation team’s Q2 Goals is to build agile and open processes to increase our effectiveness. We’ve chosen to learn from the Webmaker/Foundation team and implement a heartbeat process.

Roughly, this means working in 3-week “sprints” or “heartbeats” that allow us to break down our Q2 goals into manageable pieces, and work on them transparently.

Our Q2 Heartbeat #1 Projects are detailed in this series of Google Docs.

We know that browsing through a Google drive is neither user friendly, conducive to participation, or really working in the open. Our aim is to fix that by the second heartbeat (starting May 11th): In Heartbeat #1, one of the projects is to “Establish a solid Heartbeat process for Participation that is lightweight, structured, focused and sets us up for success”.

We’d value any input into this heartbeat process.
