Reps Council Meeting Notes - 21/02/2017

Open Letter

We have discussed how to proceed with the Open Letter to the Leadership team. We are evaluating different ways in terms of format. We’ve written several summaries we can use and expand on for the final letter.

Meeting Notes

The previous meeting notes from December and January are being worked on.

Budget

We are currently evaluating the budget. We start to have a quite solid idea on how we want to split it. This is in the last round of feedback and will be voted on by Council at the end of the week. We will share more soon.

Future Alumni communication

We briefly discussed a draft on communication when somebody transfers to Alumni. Konstantina had come up with a draft to thank the Rep for their contributions and for a certificate stating their period of contributions to the Reps program as well.

Update from OKR Areas

Communication
The layout for the newsletter is final for the first newsletter. We will adapt to needs once we have sent out the first newsletter according to all your feedback. We are currently gathering all the feedback from the Discourse posts regarding content and once that is done we will draft the first newsletter with the most desired content in it.

Onboarding
The Webinar script for on-boarding new Reps is finished. We are scheduling a final meeting to discuss logistics and then we will run the first webinar with selected new Reps to test it. If everything goes well, we will have an idea on the impact of this experiment in a month and will be able to adapt our on-boarding process accordingly.

Activate
We are helping on Activate as much as we can. We’ve also contributed some ideas on website improvements as well helping out wherever our help is needed. The Community Participation Guidelines activity is live now, and a WebExtension activity is being worked on. You can check the Roadmap for further information.

Resources
The Resources training material has been reviewed and needed fixes have been identified. We expect this to be released at the end of this heartbeat. After that we can move further towards opening the Resources track for applications.

Reps Issues on GitHub

We still have all our tasks in the Reps GitHub repository, have a look there to get involved and keep up to date with what we’re up to.
