False positive: Missing manifest,json error on addons.mozilla.org

Hello fellow Mozillians

I’m trying to upload a webextension add-on I created. Seems that I get a missing manifest error message even though the zip file I upload contains a “manifest.json” file and works pretty fine on about:debugging in FF49

Any ideas?

Did you compress the entire folder instead of the contents of the folder? Installation fails if the manifest file isn’t in the root of the install package.

You are right. I fixed my zip and works like a charm. Thanks for the tip.
