Seeing that it can be installed again. But wondering if all the privacy concerns (i.e., the selling of user data) that prompted its removal have now been resolved? Has it been thoroughly vetted?

Data handling on the server side is impossible to vet from an add-on review perspective. The add-on has been reviewed as much as it can, but we can’t make guarantees. It’s up to you to decide how much you trust WoT to use their add-on, knowing that they need to know about your web visits in order to tell you the rating for the visited websites.
Thanks for the replies. Realize you can’t provide much more than this, but Jorge’s reply sounds pretty much like a warning wrapped inside a quite lukewarm vetting. Think I’m going to pass on reinstalling WOT.
