Privacy badger download link

I install add-ons via scripts and have traditionally downloaded privacy badger via the following:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/506646/addon-506646-latest.xpi
However, it is now failing with a 404 Not Found error, it is redirected (301) to
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/privacy-badger17/addon-506646-latest.xpi which also generates a 404

There appears to be an issue with the redirect link or is there a new link I should follow?

If you go to: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/privacy-badger17/

You will notice that the download link has changed

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/privacy-badger17/platform:5/addon-506646-latest.xpi

Thanks, I noticed it was https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/privacy-badger17/platform:2/addon-506646-latest.xpi (funny you say platform:5)

Seems the redirect link should resolve to that, no?

These are new changes to AMO.
TBH, I am not sure how they work. Try and see.

I am guessing platform might refer to the OS. I got that using Windows OS.

Yep, that makes sense for platform.

So is this something that is going to eventually affect other add-ons? HTTPS Everywhere which is also provided by EFF Technologists, still utilizes the traditional URL.

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/latest/https-everywhere/addon-229918-latest.xpi

It’s not new. It happens when a version isn’t set to support All Platforms, and instead supports a set of individual platforms. Since the files could target different platforms, different URLs are needed.
