Preliminary Verification and add-on auto-update

I have made an add-on for our college campus residents, and it was awaiting preliminary review. I had asked my friends to try out the add-on and uploaded new versions based on their feedback.

So today it passed the preliminary review, but in the statistics dashboard, I still see quite a lot of people using old versions of that add-on.

Now that it’s reviewed, will all those old versions auto-update to the latest one, without their manual intervention?

Thanks,
Amit

As far as I am aware it will. Is it a restartless addon?

Thanks for the reply, arenlor! Yes, it is restartless.

Apart from not having those yellow stripes on the button, are there any advantages if I request a full review instead of preliminary?

It’ll show up better in search results, it can be featured, and you can monetize it, asking for donations on the addon page. There might be something I’m missing, but there are a lot of advantages in a full review.

Fully reviewed add-on will also be findable through the Add-ons Manager in Firefox.
