Discourse - Modifying output

Since there have been ‘Hacking Discourse’ Discussions here, I have a question:

Is it easy to modify Discourse Output? I’ll give you an example:

*To add together.js to a webpage I need to add a javascript include to headers., as well as a buttton text with an onClick() event to call a JS function.

(I’m not looking at adding this specific library, for example only atm)

In some software there are hooks for adding to headers, and altering rendered content. Does Discourse have similar architecture, or would it actually have to be ‘hacked’?

Thanks,
-Emma

I’ve answered my own question in finding this post:
