Anyone here who can suggest me some examples for add-ons notification and alert system?
There are two here - https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/WebExtensions/API/notifications#Example_add-ons
These notifications are transient though, they disappear after about 20 seconds even if the user was not there to see it open.
