Addon: Changing the Slug

I have an addon which has been preliminarily reviewed, but when I submitted the addon, I was forced to use a different slug, since the one I tried to use was apparently taken. However, I think it was take by me in an unsuccessful attempt at submitting the addon before.

(I was trying to use form-tools and ended up using formtools. This is not a deal-breaker, but I would like to tidy up the situation).

  1. Is it possible to get my preferred slug for this addon?
  2. Regardless, is it possible to change the slug at a later stage? For example, if the addon name changes.

Thanks

It wasn’t you, but a very old and abandoned entry. I changed its slug, so it’s now free if you want to pick it up.

Thanks. I’ve made the change and now feel complete.

I submitted a new extension a few days ago[1], and when I tried to assign a name, I was warned that the name was already taken. I am pretty sure this is my own doing when I validated/signed the extensions months ago, as I was not ready at the time to have it appear on AMO due to some issues back then with the webext framework.

Today the extension has been validated, and the reviewer told me to come here to have the name fixed. I did fix the name using AMO’s dashboard for the extension, but the slug still has the trailing _ (in ubo-scope_) which I used at submission time to work around the fact that the name was seen as already taken.

So is it possible to claim the slug https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ubo-scope/ for my currently published extension?

Can’t you see the /ubo-scope/ add-on in the Developer Hub? It seems to be under your account, so you should be able to access it and delete it to free the slug.
