Add on verification

I have uploaded my Add on 10 days back. But still it is not approved.

Sorry for that. We still have a bit of a backlog, it’ll just take a bit longer these days.

Also i just updated my Mozilla 39.0 to 41.0 and after that went to download my add-on from URL of my site.

And i am getting this reply every time.

“Firefox prevented this site from asking you to install software on you computer.”

Is it related to Add-on Verification?

No, this is a bug which I believe is fixed in Firefox 42.

Ok , but what if some one has upgraded their version to 41?

will 42 available soon?

That dialog gives you the option to allow the installation anyways.

For release schedules, see https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases.

No it does not.I am not getting such option

Please provide a screenshot of the dialog you see.

I’m assuming that you tried installing directly from the URL, that doesn’t work, you’ll need to use a link, or download and save it then install it from the file.

But i used to download and install same way before this new version. And it has never blocked it.

Yeah that is a new feature for increased security.

What is the URL you are trying to download from?

You’ll want to either install it directly from the website, or download the file and drag it to the Add-ons Manager.
